Raising Explorers After School Club is celebrating its 9th Anniversary this month. 9 years of hard work, dedication and working tirelessly with the children from our community, has led them to reach where they are today. Raising Explorers first opened its doors to the Bradford Community in October 2012. Since then, they have grown strength to strength, now having worked with over 1000 families and children in Bradford and currently employ over 50 staff over 2 sites.
Raising Explorers operates with a strong and experienced leadership team of managers, alongside staff that are experienced and qualified who work across various services that they provide over 7 days a week. The team at Raising Explorers are determined to continue driving both childcare and educational standards up for the next generation of children in the City of Bradford.
Raising Explorers is a Multi Award Winning Out of School Learning Club and Ofsted Registered Childcare Centre based in the heart of Manningham in the famous Carlisle Business Centre, Bradford, West Yorkshire. The core services provided to children have improved and increased year on year. Raising Explorers now offers 6 core services:
- Drop in Childcare Service – Operates 7 days a week. Parents can choose to utilise this service without booking any sessions. Childcare rooms and services are available any day of the week for parents just to turn up at the door
- Academic Tuition – Children in Key Stages 1, 2, 3 & 4 are taught by dedicated and experienced school teachers, who teach students Maths, English and Science
- Homework Support Room Services – Qualified teachers are available daily to support children with any homework needs in a dedicated homework room with IT facilities
- School Holiday & Activities – Each school holidays opening hours are extended to support parents with Childcare from 8.30am to 7.00pm. A fun packed timetable is planned to ensure children are enjoying time off school
- Quran & Madrassa Services – For those parents wanting Quran with Tajweed and Islamic Studies for their child, Raising Explorers offers both Islamically and Academically Qualified Staff. Parents are offered 4 alternative options: Weekday Madrassa, Weekend Madrassa, SEN Madrassa or a Sunday Madrassa
- Language School – Children are offered the opportunity to learn a language by attending Urdu School and Arabic School taught by qualified subject teachers.
The Out of School Learning Club and Childcare Centre is flexible and operates 7 days a week for children between 5-15 years of age. Allowing parents to drop in their children at the centre anytime of the day. Their time at Raising Explorers is filled with fun and action packed activities and lessons. Allowing them to enjoy, have fun but also learn at the same time. During school holidays the centre has extended opening hours from 8.30am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday.

During and through out the Covid-19 pandemic the staff have been extraordinarily cautious & ever so supportive not showing their vulnerability but only providing their support in order for our children to feel safe & protected.
