Did you know that Raising Explorers offers a diverse range of four flexible Madrassah services tailored for children aged 5-15? Recognizing that the traditional Monday to Friday madrassah schedule may not suit everyone’s lifestyle and can pose challenges for both parents and children, we’ve taken steps to address these concerns. In response, we have expanded our offerings to include three additional Madrassah services, ensuring that we accommodate the unique needs of every family.

These services include Weekend Madrassah, Sunday Madrassah, and our specialized SEND Madrassah designed for children with special educational needs and disabilities. Each of these programs features a meticulously curated syllabus and teaching approach developed by our qualified staff to ensure that every child has the best opportunity to thrive and flourish Islamically. We invite you to explore a brief overview of each of our Madrassah services and find the perfect fit for you and your child’s needs.

Weekday Madrassah

Our Weekday Madrassah service runs from Monday to Friday, 4:30pm to 6:45pm. Upon arrival, children are greeted with a nourishing meal to fuel their minds and bodies for an engaging learning experience. Throughout their classes, they enjoy healthy snacks and have access to our IT room for homework assistance during break times.

Classes are thoughtfully structured into Pre-Entry, Juniors (ages 5-8), and Seniors (ages 9+), with older students separated by gender. Our comprehensive Weekday Madrassah Syllabus encompasses Quran and Qaidah reading, with a dedicated emphasis on Tajweed.

Additionally, students delve into Fiqh (Islamic rulings), Tafseer (understanding the Quran), Aqaaid (belief foundations including Kalimahs & The 5 Pillars), Surah Memorisation, enlightening Prophets Stories and more. As a recent enhancement, we’ve introduced ‘Islamic Sign Language’, teaching children to sign the English and Arabic alphabet, along with common Islamic phrases such as ‘Jazak’Allah’ and ‘Alhamdulillah’.

Our aim is to foster a diverse environment where every child feels valued and embraced. Through the captivating stories of the Prophets and understanding the Quran, our Weekday Madrassah instils fundamental Islamic knowledge and nurtures a profound love for Islam. Ultimately, we aspire to raise young Muslims with respectful manners and good character, equipped with the necessary knowledge to navigate their faith with confidence.

Weekend Madrassah

Our Weekend Madrassah service, operating from Saturday to Sunday between 10:00am and 3:00pm, fills a crucial gap for children unable to attend weekday sessions due to other commitments. Designed as a flexible alternative, our Weekend Madrassah ensures that no child misses out on essential Islamic education. Our students are given a compacted version of what is taught on the weekdays.

With the same comprehensive syllabus as our weekday program, including Quran/Qaidah recitation with Tajweed, Tafseer, Seerah (Stories of the Prophet PBUH), Duas, and learning about Allah’s Names, our aim is to provide an educational experience akin to our weekday classes. We emphasize the importance of consistent revision at home to maintain progress throughout their journey with us.

Sunday Madrassah

Our Sunday Madrassah, exclusively held on Sundays from 10:00am to 1:00pm, offers a further condensed version of our weekday curriculum. It can serve as either a supplementary session for children already attending another Madrassah or as a convenient one-day alternative for those unable to commit to our weekday or weekend classes.

Even with its once-a-week schedule, our Sunday Madrassah covers a diverse range of topics essential for our students’ development. From learning to read the Quran to basic Islamic knowledge and guidance, we ensure our children are equipped with the necessary knowledge to navigate their lives confidently.  This service is the perfect option for families seeking flexibility without compromising on the quality of Islamic education.

SEND Madrassah

Our SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Madrassah operates solely on Sundays, with two classes: the first from 10:00am to 12:00pm, and the second from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.

Our SEND Madrassah service stands as a testament to our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in Islamic education. Children are taught at their own pace with interactive lessons, multiple breaks to help with their concentration and daily recaps.

We firmly believe that every child, regardless of their additional support requirements, deserves the opportunity to deepen their faith. Collaborating closely with parents and educators, we’ve established a supportive environment with a maximum student-to-teacher ratio of 1:3. This ensures personalized attention and allows us to adapt our teaching methods to match each child’s preferred learning style. By offering specialized teaching, personalized attention, and a nurturing atmosphere, we aim to ensure that every child, regardless of their abilities, has the opportunity to connect with their faith and community.

Holiday Madrassah Club

A very recent addition to our Weekday Madrassah service is our Holiday Madrassah Camp —a vibrant blend of traditional learning and fun activities during the school holidays. Recognizing that holiday breaks are typically associated with leisure and enjoyment, we’ve curated an experience that infuses learning with excitement. We understand that not every child may be enthusiastic about attending Madrassah during their break, so we’ve made it our priority to ensure that our holiday classes are both enriching and entertaining.

Alongside Quran and Qaidah recitations, our children are able to enjoy engaging Islamic games, hands-on construction of 3D models relevant to Islam, thematic crafting projects, participate in class-wide activities such as treasure hunts and so much more! The Holiday Madrassah Camp initiative aims to blend Islamic games and activities seamlessly with our traditional learning to ignite excitement in our children’s Madrassah experience.

As we embark on this journey of nurturing young minds and fostering a deep connection with Islam, we invite you to join us in this enriching endeavour. Whether it’s our detailed weekday sessions, lively weekend programs, specialized SEND Madrassah, or our exciting Holiday Madrassah Camp, there’s a tailored learning experience waiting for every child at Raising Explorers.
